Phuoc Huu Nguyen ("Billy"), age 67, passed away on June 5, 2026 in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was born on October 1, 1958 in Song Cau-Phu Yen, Vietnam to Huu-Tho Nguyen and Thi-Ly Mai, and was one of eight children. Billy was an exceptional student who earned high marks throughout his schooling and was attending medical school in Saigon before immigrating to the United States in 1978. Upon coming to America, Billy lived in south Texas where he learned English and worked various jobs. He later entered the automotive industry and eventually achieved his dream of opening his own dealership in Houston. In 1989, Billy married Jacqueline Dung Nguyen, and together they raised four children: Victoria, Kristina, Michael, and Michelle.
Billy enjoyed traveling throughout the country and had a keen sense of direction, remembering every place he visited. He loved working out at the gym and was always eager to share details of his fitness routine with others. He also enjoyed watching old movies and spending time with his family and five beloved grand-dogs. His family will remember him as an intelligent, determined, and strong-willed man. He was independent and hard-working, and everything he did in life, he did to the fullest. Despite the many hardships he faced throughout his life, he remained kind-hearted and generous, with a wonderful and quirky sense of humor. He had a gift for connecting with people, finding common ground through shared experiences and interests, and everyone he met became a friend. He was the kind of person you meet once and remember for a lifetime.
