Phyllis Foley, a beloved mother, grandmother, and a pillar of strength, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2023, at the age of 80. Phyllis was born in Chicago on October 12,1942 and lived a life marked by love, compassion, and dedication.
Phyllis is survived by her four cherished children, Kelly, Patrick, Megan, and Skylar who were the center of her world. She was an extraordinary mother, offering unwavering support, guidance, and boundless love throughout their lives. Her children will forever remember her as a beacon of warmth and wisdom.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill, with whom she shared a lifetime of precious memories and adventures. Their love was a source of inspiration to all who knew them, and Bill's passing was a profound loss for Phyllis.
In her professional life, Phyllis dedicated 35 years to UT Southwestern Medical Center, where she made significant contributions to the field of healthcare. Her passion for her work and her dedication to improving the lives of others made her a respected and admired colleague. Phyllis loved all animals, fishing, and the outdoors. She had a passion for metaphysics and worked at a metaphysical book store. She spent many years volunteering for and running the North Texas Irish Festival. She also loved sports, including soccer where she was a longtime FIFA referee. Phyllis's life exemplified the values of love, family, and selflessness. Her memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched.
Phyllis also leaves behind cherished memories of her husband, Bill, her parents and her dear brother, who have gone before her.
She is survived by her 4 children, grandchildren, two sisters Margie Pagan and Mary Andre of Illinois.
A funeral service for Phyllis will be held Monday, September 11, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
