Raymond was born September 16, 1945 in Fostoria, Ohio to Lloyd and Opal Sheridan. After he graduated high school, Raymond enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for 4 years. After he was honorably discharged, he worked for the U.S. Government for over 30 years as a communication specialist in technical support.
Raymond married the love of his life, Linda McCann, in May of 1967. They had many happy years together until her passing in 2015. During their marriage, Raymond and Linda supported Arlington ISD Wrestling and even implemented the start of the program in the school district. Ray was also the President of the U.S.S Wright Association.
Ray was generous. He would give the shirt off his back to help someone out. He was loving, as a father and even more so as a Grandfather. He had an extreme wit and loved to entertain. He loved gemstones, science fiction movies, and bulldogs. Raymond will be sorely missed by every soul that was fortunate enough to cross his path.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Sheridan; and parents, Lloyd and Opal Sheridan.
Survivors: daughter, Angelia Sheridan-Brudnak and husband, Tom; son, Andrew Sheridan; grandchildren, Miranda Trahern and husband, Nick, and Molly Brudnak; great-granddaughter, Anniston Trahern; and a great-grandson on the way; and numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
