Rhonda was born in St. Jo, Texas to Roy and Freddie Mae Bingham. Her family moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1969 where she attended Handley schools and graduated from Eastern Hills High School.
Rhonda married Jim Blakeman in 1976 and lived in Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas. She helped raise Jim's four children as well as her nieces and nephews. Later in life, was thrilled to have 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She loved them all and they loved her.
Rhonda was a faithful member of the Catholic church and even served as a Eucharistic minister for years. She loved animals, especially her own horses. She also fed a colony of racoons for many years in her backyard.
In her spare time, Rhonda loved to snow ski in New Mexico and Colorado. She also enjoyed water skiing and boating, golfing, and dove hunting in Mexico. She traveled with Jim all over the nation as they had business offices from Chicago to California and Rhonda made new friends everywhere she went.
Rhonda was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She had a smile that could light up a room and to know her was to love her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to express their eternal gratitude to those friends and family members who assisted Rhonda in the last months of her life, especially Billy, Connie, and Sarah Bingham who took such wonderful care of her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Bingham, and sister-in-law, Connie Bingham.
Rhonda is survived by her husband, Jim Blakeman; mother, Freddie Bingham; brothers, Roy Bingham and Billy Bingham and wife, Connie; sons, James B. Blakeman and wife, Debbie of Fort Worth, Bryan Blakeman and wife, Stephanie, of Dallas, Dr. Scot Blakeman and wife, Nina, of Tulia, Texas; daughter, Yvette Fox; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service: 1 p.m. Monday, February 7, at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, 76012. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 6 at Moore Funeral Home.
