Susan, Monique and Candace,
I am so sorry you had to say goodbye to Rick. We really wanted to make it down there but it just never worked out. I am glad they recently had a chance to talk several times.

I posted a memory about the silly outfits the guys wore to the All About golf tournament on Monique’s FB posting, but I wanted to share another one here. He donated a week at the Marine Surf to Jeremiah’s school auction, and again for Jessica’s school auction. When he was told about a bidding war for one of those weeks, he agreed to donate a second week if they paid the same amount.

He was also very generous about comping us to stay at the Marine Surf, once with my brother’s family too. And then he would come stay with us for his marketing trips to Portland. We loved having him. We would talk and eat and talk some more. And the cat loved to jump on his lap when he had his good clothes on as he was getting ready to leave for his sales calls, and shed all over him. He was so annoyed!

We have missed you all, and I know our guys are finally in new bodies and having a good time together.
Love and prayers,
Elisa Davidson

Rick,
You were one of a kind and will certainly be missed by many. I met you back home in Hawaii when I was just a young girl but years later we were making sales calls for All About and the Marine Surf in Portland, Oregon. Who would of thunk it?! Rest easy in Paradise my friend, I'm sure you'll meet up with my Mom and talk shop soon. Love ya!

Rick and I shared the same Grandfather and Grandmother. My dad was Rick’s mom’s brother so we were first cousins. We spent many good time as kids when he lived in Ann Arbor about 1960 and my family lived in Detroit. Most recently in 2012 for the first time I met Susan and Monique at a Hamborsky family reunion in Grosse Pointe Woods Michigan where Rick played drums with my brother Doug on guitar and brother Dwight on keyboard. Attached are a couple of photos from the recording session made at the reunion. Although I’m sad that my cousin Rick has passed and he will be so missed by his whole family, I know he will transition to his next venture with his amazing spirit of love.

I walked into this family’s life 6 years ago! Rick never treated me any different than he treated his very own 2 daughters! He loved me and helped me and was there for me as any father would be for their children! I loved him deeply he was an amazing man, husband and father! Rick you will be forever missed I was so blessed to have you in my life!
