Richard Allen Howard Sr.

Richard Allen Howard, Sr. 79, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on November 24, 2025. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Richard’s life was a testament to quiet strength, enduring love, and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Margaret Louise Howard; his father, Ralph Joseph Howard; and his cherished son, Richard Allen Howard, Jr.—whose absence left a quiet ache in Richard’s heart, yet whose memory remained a guiding light and source of strength throughout his life.

Richard is survived by his cherished and loving wife, Ruby of 57 years; his daughters, Sherry Tipton and her husband Brent, and Donna Cicardo and her husband Marty; his grandchildren, Amber and her husband Christian, Cody, Sarah and her husband Jorge, Halayna, and Alex; and his great-grandchildren, Harper, Levi, Emerson, and Judea. He also leaves behind his loving sister, Lynn Howard Eckels, along with his nieces Tracy and Korencia, their husbands, and children—all of whom brought joy and pride to his life.

Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy, where he built the foundation of discipline and dedication that carried through the rest of his life. After his service, he went on to build a long and respected career as a mechanic in the coal mines, eventually retiring after many years of hard, honest work. He then went on to earn his associates degree in computer assembly working as a technician for Radio Shack.

Richard’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched and the family he nurtured. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to guide, comfort, and inspire all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
