I am crushed to hear about Rob's passing as he had a found place in my heart.  We talked often and he always had a "Rob" story full of humor.  And then there were the firetrucks...  I know he loved his sister and his nieces and nephews as he talked about you often.  May God soften your greif and comfort your spirit.

I have been a good friend of Rob's for a few years now. Ever since I moved to Texas in 2015. We shared some GREAT times together. I have been so worried about him the last 2 weeks. He never ignored my texts or calls. I last spoke to him on Jan. 15, 2018, and had wondered why I did not hear from him since then... especially after numerous calls, texts, and even a visit to his home. I'm so saddened by this news, but happy that he's in a better place. He will be sorely missed. I hope that Obie (his beloved 4 legged friend) is doing okay. I unfortunately have no way to get in touch with his family, but would be more than willing to give our little Obers (my nickname for him) a caring and comfortable home, if needed. Obie loved my kids and I almost as much as Rob did. I remember watching funny sitcoms with Rob, one of our favorite things to do, and our favorite show being Practical Jokers. I will always remember how funny, kind, and gentle he was. I'm not sure if it's allowed, but would love his family (sister, or father, only 2 I know of) to get in touch with me, if possible. Rob was a good co-worker, and will be missed. He helped to advance many of the government's software updates, and that will be something that will last an eternity.  RIP Rob

Rob was such a great guy. I worked closely with him on an IT project a few years back. He was extremely knowledgeable, and also very patient with my lack of knowledge. He was unfailingly kind and pleasant. He was be sorely missed. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To the Family of Robert Anderson, I am very sorry to hear about your loss.  Rob was one of the nicest people I've ever met.  I never had the opportunity to meet him in person, but have worked with him for several years communicating over the phone and via chat. Rob had a kind heart that came across over the phone.  He never hesitated to help provide his outstanding expertise!  It was because of Rob, I was able to accomplish my job and he made it possible in creating a workflow system used by the Taxpayer Advocate Service employees.  Recently, Rob reached out to me on an IT issue that I experienced months ago.  He wanted to see if it was fixed and if not, he would have the help desk fix it.  I remember he waited on the phone with the help desk for hours and kept getting cutoff... but his tenacity would not hinder him from getting the problem fixed. Each time he was cut off, he called back in throughout the day. The day ended and I never heard back from Rob, but unbeknownst to me I noticed one day my problem was fixed. I knew I had to express my appreciation to Rob who humbly had my problem resolved. It was my goal to thank him for all the hard work, but sadly I didn't get that opportunity. Rob was such a good humble man that I will always remember and truly miss.  May he rest in peace and God be with him.

May God give your family peace in this time of loss.  Rob was such a gentle soul and so smart.  I enjoyed working with him and he will never be forgotten

Rob was wonderful; the few times I was in his presence I loved it...He was the nicest person and whenever I called o him he was always available.  I am so sadden by his passing; he will be greatly missed by me and many others.  Shawn Collin (VA)

I have so many funny memories of Rob throughout our time working together. We were both hired off the same cert back in 2010 and there was never a dull moment. He had a way of making me laugh, sometimes to the point it hurt. He simply had the best sense of humor with twists of sarcasm that made his story telling hysterical. Here's to you Rob, you are already missed.

My heart is saddened by the loss of a great friend and co-worker. He always had a smile for everyone! He was a kind and gentle soul.
