

Following graduation from Winona State College in 1965, he entered the Navy, earning his commission in January 1966. He served as a Fighter Pilot in several different commands, including two tours in Vietnam. He served honorably for 28 years before retiring in 1994.
After his retirement he and his wife Kay lived their dream sailing their yacht “Bright Star” and travelling the world.
He was greatly loved by his family and his friends. He enriched the lives of all he knew and will be dearly missed. His love, generosity, strength and integrity was nothing short of extraordinary.
He leaves to honor his memory his wife Carlene Kay Kiral; stepson Ron Venerable; brother Jerry Kiral and wife Barbara; niece Brenda Teter; grandchildren Sean Venerable, Robert Spencer Venerable, Rachel Odeh, Sara Venerable, and Cassidy Melton who cherished their ”Cap’n Bob”; great grandchildren Corey Venerable, Shane Venerable, Reece Venerable, Rylan Venerable, Khloe Bartlett and Zaylah Odeh.
A visitation will take place on Monday from 12-2 pm at the funeral home.
Private services will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
