

Robert Wayne Shelton, age 89, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025. A U.S. Marine, dedicated family man, and long-time Texas Instruments employee, Robert lived a life of honor, humility, and compassion.
Born on July 19, 1935, Robert proudly served in the United States Marine Corps before beginning a 24-year career at Texas Instruments. He was known for his steady presence, deep integrity, and quiet leadership.
Robert, an avid outdoor enthusiast, cherished camping trips with his wife, Sherry, across the great state of Texas. His passion extended to amateur radio, where he proudly held an Extra Class license with the operator designation KZ5O. This license allowed him to connect with enthusiasts worldwide. Additionally, Robert actively participated in the Arlington Amateur Radio Club, showcasing his commitment to the hobby.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Sherry Shelton; sons, Christopher Shelton and Andrew Shelton; and grandchildren, Ian, Reece, and Corinthean Shelton. His legacy lives on in the lives of his family, whose love and respect he earned every day of his life.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend and honor a life well lived.
