Robert was born on November 1, 1933 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Howell Joseph and Lois Vivian Turman. On May 14, 1976 he married Cindy T. Turman. Robert retired from Santa Fe Railroad & was a Mason for the Masonic Lodge Fort Worth. He loved spending time with his family & playing outside with his great-grandkids. He spent hours napping in his hammock & listening to Gospel Quartets. He had a sweet tooth, especially for cobbler & pies.
Robert is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cindy T. Turman, of Arlington, Texas; his step-children: James Hunt (and wife, Terri) of Cumming, Georgia, and Catherine Annette Hunt of Arlington, Texas; his grandchildren: Nikole Yates (and husband, Chris) of Northlake, Texas, Ashton Hayes (and husband, Branden) of Cumming, Georgia, and Austin Hunt of Cumming, Georgia; his great-grandchildren: Hayden and Hudson Yates of Northlake, Texas and Matilyn and Beckett Hayes of Cumming, Georgia; his brothers: Jimmy Turman of Texas and Dean Turman of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his nieces and nephews: Laura Pugh, Tammi Scruggs, Greg Turman, and Angela Turman; and his brothers in-law: Sesan Iha of Okinawa, Japan and Seiu Iha of Okinawa, Japan.
