Roberta Nugent

She was born in Toledo Ohio and was preceded in death by her parents, Pierce and Viola Eldredge; brother, Edgar Eldredge; and sister, Barbara Rufenacht; son, Jeffrey Shawen; husbands Robert Shawen, William Henderson; and her beloved David (Danny) Nugent.

She received her Bachelors Degree in Business at the University of Texas at El Paso and her masters at Texas A&M at Commerce. She taught Computer Science, Journalism and published the school newspaper at Everman High School.

Roberta was a member of Alpha Chi honorary sorority, The Arlington Citizen Police Academy Alumni and the Gold Tone Show Choir, where she used her computer skills to make programs advertisements or whatever she needed to be done by computer. She and her husband were members of the Bailando Dance Club.

After losing her beloved Danny, she started taking Oil Painting lessons and was fortunate to take lessons from Ann Winchester, professional portrait artist. She throughly enjoyed the class and the wonderful people in the class. She turned out some really good paintings.

She is survived by Son, David Shawen, wife Debi and their daughter Deidre Schmalz, husband, Calvin and son, River and daughter Lakyn; son Derek Shawen and his wife Jennifer and their two sons Nolan and Reed. Tricia Shawen Randklev, daughter-in-law. Stepsons Matt Nugent and his wife Dr. Barbara Nugent; Kevin Nugent, his wife Jan, and their sons Paul; and Ryan and his wife Caren and children Aaron and Sara.

Matt Henderson, wife Jean daughter Brooklyn; and Scott, wife Chelsie. Step daughter Kristi Henderson Smith, and many very special friends.
