Service: 12:30 p.m. Thursday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel, Arlington. Burial: will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Rolland was born in Iowa Park on Feb. 8, 1924, to William and Ethel Battle. He served his country in World War II. He lived in Hurst most of his adult life and later returned to his hometown, Iowa Park, after the loss of his beloved wife of 30 years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Berta Battle; his son, Scott Battle; and his sister, Florence Battle.
Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Jeff Roper; grandchildren, Brent Vestal, Austin Vestal and Alex Vestal; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Marjorie Battle; and sister, Lorene Callahan.
