Roosevelt "Pop" Pierre Sr.

Roosevelt "Pop" Pierre, Sr., age 85, of Euless, TX passed away on May 1st, 2024. He was born on June 16, 1938, to Melvin Pierre Sr. and Emiley Ellis-Pierre in Edgard, LA. He attended Johnson Locket in New Orleans, LA. On January 30, 1956, he married his wife Anna Pierre (Noah). He was the singer in his band named The Stereophonics. Mr. Pierre retired twice. First from Pellerin Laundry Machinery where he worked for 25 years then secondly as a manager of two local laundromats in Lake Charles, LA after almost 14 years. His home church is St. Luke Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA. He was a proud Mason of the Temple of Electa Grand Chapter of New Orleans.

He is survived by his wife and caregiver, Anna Pierre (Noah), children David Pierre, Sr. (Lin), Gregory Pierre, Sr. (Sabrina), Troy Pierre, Sr.; siblings Melvin Pierre, Jr., Dorothy Pierre-Evans, Charles Pierre, Marion Pierre; nieces and nephews; several grandchildren and many more great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents Melvin Pierre, Sr. and Emiley Ellis-Pierre; sister Rosalee Pierre, and sons Roosevelt Pierre, Jr. and Gary Pierre, Sr.

He will be missed by all who loved him.
