Rose Ann Kimbrell-Riggall peacefully went to her Lord and Savior on March 14, 2024. Rose was born June 16, 1928, in Alta Loma, Texas to Sicilian parents Frances and Jack Tombrella. She had three older sisters, Camilla Ann Pascavage, Lilly Ann Blume and Josephine Elizabeth Hunt, and a younger brother Joe Jack Tombrella.
Rose served as switch board operator until she married Royal David Kimbrell in 1945 and settled in Galveston at the end of WWII. They moved to Grand Prairie in 1949 and became members of Immaculate Conception Parrish.
She became a Licensed Vocational Nurse in 1965, working at Arlington Memorial Hospital for several years in orthopedics, later recruited by Dr. HW Agnew, OBGYN, as his nurse and surgical assistant until retirement in 1999.
Rose loved to travel making trips domestic and abroad. She was an avid gardener and daylily horticulturist, winning both “Yard of the year” and “Woman of The Year” in her neighborhood. She was an active member of the “Red Hat Society”, “The Nottingham Neighbors Organization”, and president of “Oaks and Acorns” garden club. Served on “Altar Society” at Immaculate Conception Church, and associate member of the “Holy Family of Nazareth”, member of “Silver-Leaves” senior group and twenty years in “Bible Study Fellowship”. Rose was known as a gourmet chef, bringing her Italian roots experience to the table. She was famous for her annual gift of homemade Italian ravioli for the family each Christmas.
Rose was a unique lady. She was not about receiving but giving praise and being a servant. She was always giving to others whether it be of her time and talents, to family or friends. But her greatest joy was from loving the Lord and her family.

Across the years I will walk with you
In deep, green forests
On shores of sand
And when our time
On earth is through
In heaven too
You will have my hand
