Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Roy was born Oct. 11, 1920, in Golconda, Ill. He attended grade school in Illinois and high school in Vincennes, Ind. He served in World War II from Sept. 5, 1942, through Oct. 3, 1945. He was in the 756th Tank Division and toured and saw action in North Africa, Italy, France and Germany under Gen. Patton and others. He was awarded five Battle Stars, one Arrow Head, Purple Heart, Bronze Star and other honors. He worked as a parts manager at auto dealerships for 40 years and was a Boy Scouts leader for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh Loyd and Pearl Marie Halter Anderson.
Survivors: His wife, Georgia Rose Patheal Anderson; son, Roy Leonard Anderson Jr. and his wife, Libby Walker Anderson; and grandchildren, Roy L. "Andy" Anderson III and Emily E. Anderson.
