Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home.
Ruby was born to Isaac and Unie Newton on Sept. 15, 1915, in Decatur. She was a member of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church and was a strong supporter of the Humane Society. Preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ted; one sister; and one brother. Survivors: Sister, Rose Roper; brothers, J.R. Newton, .V. Newton, Bobby Newton and Billy Newton; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
