Services for Ruby Irene Womack Thompson will be 10:00 am Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brenton Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, September 20 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Ruby passed away peacefully at her residence in Keller on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the age of 91.
She was born on March 24, 1925 in Steiner, Texas and was married to Gilbert Earl Thompson, Sr. for more than 64 years.
Rudy was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Mildred Simpkins, sister, Hazel McIntosh; brother, Joe Womack; and her parents.
Survivors include daughters, Thelda Kiowski of Lewisville; Anne Kemp of Krum; Elizabeth Thompson of Keller; Vera Alexander and husband Bob of Whitesboro; son, Gilbert Thompson Jr and wife Brenda of Houston, 17 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
