On Saturday, February 2, 2013, Ruth Gajus Haines died peacefully in Arlington, TX. She was 88 years old. Born Charlotte Ruth Gajus on February 27, 1924, Ruth was one of nine children in her family. She finished high school in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she also lived with her husband, Stewart Eugene (Gene) Haines. Ruth and Gene raised two children (Stewart Eugene, Jr., and Peggy Gail) in Cincinnati, where they also spent the majority of their 70-year marriage. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, and dog lover (Putter was her favorite).
Ruth was predeceased by her husband and her granddaughter, Amy Donnelly. She is survived by her son, Stewart Haines (Susan), and her daughter, Peggy Gail Donnelly; seven grandchildren: Todd and Brian McIntosh, Bubba, Michael, and Tim Donnelly, Jacob Haines, and Susanna (Haines) Donald; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be Friday, February 8, 2013 at 3pm at Moore Funeral Home. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
