Sally Ann Cottrell

Sally was born in Omaha, Neb. She graduated from Creighton/ St. Joseph with a nursing degree. She moved to Arlington in 1972. She was a registered nurse for 47 years, many spent at MHMR and Millwood Hospital. Sally was an avid reader, loved her grandchildren, John Wayne movies, playing cards/board games with family and friends, going camping in Colorado and going to the WinStar Casino with "the girls." She was a loyal Texas Rangers and Cornhuskers fan.

Sally had a great smile and a big heart, touching the lives of everyone she met. She was generous with all those around her and gave to many charities unselfishly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael B Cottrell; daughter, Cindy Cottrell; and parents, Francis and Herbert Boyer. Survivors include her Daughter, Pam Cottrell; sons, Michael Cottrell, John Cottrell and wife, Chris, Brian Cottrell and wife, Amy; sister, Sandy Ahonen; brother, Pat Schrock; grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, Elizabeth, David, Nathan, John, Mary, Deborah, Ashley, Matthew, Rachel, Jason and Lois.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sally's memory to any of the following: Friedreich's Ataxia Research Alliance, Texas Oncology, Tarrant Area Food Bank, Wounded Warrior Project.
