I did not know this young man. I only came across this story today. What I will say is that I am sure he walked right through the gates of Heaven and was greeted with open arms by our Lord. My deepest condolences to his family for his loss. He was a hero and a son to be proud of, but I am sure his family would just like to have their boy with them. God bless you and comfort you. Sam needs no blessing. He was a blessing.

I think he was really courageous. I felt that he was blessed and loved by everyone. Sadness will remain in the deprived future, but the healing, hope and energy he has given everyone will last forever. I hope his light will be a warm light in everyone's heart and guide his loved ones.

(Prayers from a stranger)
I did not know this young man. What I do know from his death is that he was a hero. He was everything we all should be. He was the human embodiment of love, kindness, heroic and angel. I pray you all are comforted mentally, emotionally and physically by our Lord and savior today and in the tomorrow's. I pray his death will change the world for the better. I pray you have justice.

I do not know Samuel or this family but I hope it's ok that I leave this message here. Samuel's story has both broken my heart and inspired me. I am so sorry that he is gone in this way for doing the right and best, courageous thing. It is what I would do and what I have taught my own son to do so this page could be my page one day. I pray for our world that this could happen but more than that I pray for you as you have sacrificed your son for his goodness. May your pride in his strength and character be some confort in an unimaginable loss. God bless Samuel and God bless the Reynolds family.

My name is Ms. Althea Jackson, I was Sam's 7th grade Read 180 Teacher at Nichols Junior High.

Dear parents (family), words can not express the pain I felt when I saw Sam's story on the news. Please know that you had an angel unaware. Sam was a beautiful person with a beautiful spirit. The circumstances surrounding his death speaks volumes as to who your wonderful child was. My heart hurts for you.

As a (parent) survivor of gun violence, I will wear Orange in honor of his memory this summer at the Annual Wear Orange Picnic (Moms Demand Action against gun violence).

Your child touched many lives and his presence will be missed. May God bless you with peace beyond understanding in your season of loss.

I am Alexis Jenkins' grandmother. Lexi and her best friend, Megan, went to Larson Elem. with Sam. They loved to hang out with him, at the skating rink, on Facebook, etc. Lexi lives in Michigan with her father this year but she posted a message on fb honoring Sam. She remembers him as such a sweet and caring friend. Please know that our family holds your family in our hearts, prayers and thoughts as you move through your loss of Sam. We are sorry for this devastating loss.
