Sandra Gail Lee, aged 65, died on March 5, 2015. She passed away much sooner than we ever expected but she is at peace now. She went by Sandy & was born on January 14, 1950 in Coleman, Texas, the daughter of Leon Gilliam and Gladys Snow.
Sandy thoroughly enjoyed her grandchildren! They brought her joy and life. She always wanted to see them & asked how they were doing. The grandkids called her Nana and MiMi. They loved when she took them to a movie and trips to get ice cream. Sandy loved picking them up from school and having lunch with them at school……..anything and everything with the grandkids made her happy! She hung up all their art, pictures and notes. When we had snow and ice she loved to slide down the big hill with the grandkids. Sandy’s and her grandson Jake had a bond that was incredible to watch. You could feel their love for one another. The family always said Nana and Jake were two peas in a pod. Sandy took great interest in Jake’s gift of art. These two could talk about anything or just enjoy each other’s company. The grandkids couldn’t have been given a better grandmother than Sandy.
Sandy was active and always doing something! She was so blessed and giddy when she found her lovely garden home many years ago. She loved, loved decorating & creating fun things for her home. She walked in the mornings and worked in her yard often. We always said Mom loved rugs and decorative pillows like women love handbags and shoes. She loved her mornings drinking coffee on her back patio. On the weekends she always said she was going “piddling”. This meant shopping, running errands and finding garage sales. Sandy enjoyed church on Sundays and loved to get in early to listen to the live music! She enjoyed giving back
Sandy worked at Kforce Inc. with her daughter Bridget. She was such a hard worker and very compassionate about the people she helped find employment. Her colleagues were her second family and she had a ball when at work. Some of her colleagues said Sandy was their partner in crime. Work could be chaotic and crazy but Sandy had patience like no other. There wasn’t anyone that didn’t love Sandy.
Survivors include two daughters; Bridget McDonald Frederick and her husband Jim and Gidget Pritchard and her husband Shawn, six grandchildren; Dimi Pritchard, Jake McDonald, Nevaeh Pritchard, Preslee Pritchard, Kayla Frederick and Grace Frederick, one niece Tish Pierot and nephew Clint Pierot.
