Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at Moore Funeral Home. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: The family will welcome vistors 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
Shirley was born Aug. 27, 1938, in Bagwell. She grew up in a rural East Texas farming community with six brothers and sisters. Shirley recently retired from the IT department of the University of Texas at Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Bill Hurst; brother, Dan Jr.; and her father, Dan Sr.
The family sends heartfelt thanks to the many friends and colleagues for their encouragement and support.
Survivors: Mrs. Hurst is survived by her sons, Jeff Dudley and wife, Julie, of Arlington and Billy Jr. of Fort Worth; daughter, Kathy Burks of Fort Worth; mother, Lorene Teal; sisters, Mary Allen and Carol Burchinal; brothers, Jimmy, Bobby and Tommy Kenemore; her blessings multiplied, 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
