We thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of our hearts, for joining us today to celebrate the life, and honor the memory, of our mother.
Our mom was a truly loving, joyful, intelligent, wise, humble, compassionate, understanding, family-oriented woman, and one of the most beautiful souls one could ever meet.
Our mother's smile could light up a room. When she smiled, everyone around her could not help but laugh or smile with her. And she was always generous with her bright smiles, spreading joy wherever she went.
In her last years, every time we saw her, she would sing to us the Japanese children's songs that she learned during her childhood. Every one of these songs now lives forever in our hearts, bringing us never-ending comfort and happiness. We may one day forget the words she sang, but we will always remember the tunes.
Our mother did not have much, but we always felt like we had everything. Even though she is no longer here with us, we can still feel her love guiding us. She is and will always be in our hearts.
