Stanley Albert Long

Stanley Albert Long, age 75, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on February 22, 2023. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on June 21, 1947. Stan graduated from Lee’s Summit High School and received the Associate of Arts degree from San Antonio College. Serving in the US Air Force at Elmendorf Air Force Base, he trained in the field of telecommunications, which lead to his long career with GTE/Verizon Communications and his lifetime fascination with the State of Alaska.

After marrying Deborah Long on August 11, 1990, Stan became a member of Meadow Lane Baptist Church, where he served faithfully. His many interests included beekeeping, big band music, home improvement projects, the ’57 Chevrolet Bel Air and sharing a fine meal with family and friends.

Stan was devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Deborah Long; children, Traci Long and Marc Long and his wife Andrea; and grandchildren, Hailee Dyer, Jackson Long, Ava Long and Sam Schafer.

Preceding him in death are his father, James Roscoe Long; mother, Ida Mae Long; and sister, Thelma Jeane Cline.

Memorial Service will be held 11:00 am Friday March 17, 2023 at Moore Funeral Home 1219 North Davis Drive Arlington, Texas 76012
