Stephanie Lynn Posner

Stephanie Lynn Posner, age 66, passed away on June 23, 2024, in Arlington, Texas. She was born on September 1, 1957, in Bethpage, New York to Saul and Seena (Wolper) Greenberg. Stephanie was raised in Park Forest, Illinois and graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1979. She married Richard Posner in 1989 and the couple had 2 children. Stephanie was a Teacher in the Arlington Independent School District for 31 years, before she retired to help raise her 3 Grand Nieces, who were then adopted by Stephanie and Richard. Stephanie was the Education Director at Congregation Beth Shalom for many years and loved to help the students learn about Judaism, how it relates to, and with other religions, and to help the students in preparing for future Jewish milestones. In her free time, Stephanie was active with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Tarrant County, Congregation Beth Shalom in Arlington, the Jewish Federation of Tarrant County and attended as many of her large extended family’s celebrations and milestones as she was able. Her family and friends will always remember Stephanie as someone who cared for, and took care of others, before taking care of herself. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Renee (Greenberg) Kas. Stephanie is survived by her husband Richard Posner, daughters Rebekah Posner of Wasilla, Alaska, Hannah Posner of Ft. Worth Texas, Roman Posner, Kendall Posner, and Kaia Posner of Arlington, Texas. She is also survived by her sisters and brother - Ilene (Fred) Sternquist, Richard Greenberg, Karen Arenas, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
