Steven Wayne Barbee was born on June 6, 1957 in Dallas, Texas to Gene Austin Barbee and Judith Ann Armstrong Barbee. Steve worked as a computer programmer analyst. He had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. His passions were photography and World War II history and art. Steve traveled around the world to visit WWII battle sites, ships and airplanes. He acquired an extensive collection of WWII artwork, much of it autographed by aviators and sailors who were onboard during WWII. His art collection was donated to Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in New York for others to appreciate and enjoy. He also donated to the restoration and operation of WWII aircraft like the B-29. Steve was always eager to share his extensive knowledge with others. Steve is survived by his sister, Janet Barbee.
