Steve was an active member of many organizations that he was passionate about including; Past Master in his Masonic Lodge, former president of his Lions Club chapter, UTA college fraternity Beta Theta Pi, and was an avid Master Scuba Diver and joined the “Diving Rebels Scuba Club”. Steve was an immense supporter of Fire and Police charities. He appreciated the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and shooting.
Those left to cherish his memory: parents, Bill and Wendy Shipe; sons, William Conner Shipe, Brandon Walker Shipe; brother, Kevin Matthew Shipe; aunts and uncles, Holly Valente, Lindsay Pancoast, Dannie Shipe, Patricia Freemar, Judith Erich, Fred Shipe, Rebecca Corey, Larry Wayne Shipe, Richard Shipe; and numerous cousins.
