Thanh Simon Ly

Thanh Simon Ly graduated from Sam Houston High School. He attended Texas A & M in College Station and UTA in Arlington receiving a BS in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Information Systems. In his career he worked for Koch Industries in Irving, AMT International in Dallas and Texland Petroleum LLC in Fort Worth.

During his leisure time he enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Julia Chen (who he married on November 20, 2004); son, Austin Ly; mother, Hai Ly; brothers and sisters, Ty Ly, Ken Ly, Elizabeth Ly, Elaine Ky, Set Ly, Kathy Reformina and Cynthia Woo; other family and many friends.

Services will be as follows on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home and Crematory

8:30 - 9:30 Am Le Phat Tang (Wake for Family)

9:30 - 11:30 Am Funeral Service

11:30 - 12:00 pm Cremation Service & Balloon Release

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending a memorial contribution to the charity of your choice.

All contributions received by the family will be donated to Phap Quang Temple and the First Baptist Church of Arlington on behalf of Thanh Ly.
