Thelma "Terry" Gray

Thelma “Terry” Purcell Gray, 91, of Arlington, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 in Arlington, following a long illness. Services will be 3:00 pm Friday, December 18, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andrew Grant officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, December 17, 2015 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Terry was born April 28, 1924 in Ennis, Texas to Thomas Purcell and Lillian Ray Purcell. She was raised in Ennis where she graduated from Ennis High School. Terry worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone in Galveston where she met her future husband, Jack Gray. They were married on December 19, 1949. They moved to Arlington to be close to family. She continued her career with Southwestern Bell, working in Arlington, Fort Worth, before her retirement in 1984 after 38 years.

Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Gray, sons Jeffery Paul Gray and Randy Gray.

Survivors include her brother, John “Sonny” Purcell, son Steve Gray, two grandsons, Jeffery Jr. Gray and Adam Gray and their mother Rhonda, and two great-grandchildren Megan and Finn.
