Tony was born in Vietnam on December 2, 1954 to Hanh and Chac Nguyen.
He was a soldier in the South Vietnam Army. After the fall of Saigon, he became a motorcycle mechanic. He met his wife, Katherine Vo, when she brought her moped to his shop for repair. He decided that instead of being her mechanic, he’d rather be her husband. Together they raised one daughter, Jennifer, and one son, Kenny.
In 1997, Tony and his family immigrated to Texas. He worked for over twenty years as a machine operator at Martin Sprocket & Gear. All the while, he was also mowing lawns, delivering goods, and working different jobs to provide for his family. He was hardworking and dedicated, never voicing any complaint. He was known for his kind, compassionate, and friendly demeanor. He enjoyed gardening, drone flying, and tinkering with electronics.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by wife Katherine Vo, daughter Jennifer Cao, son Kenny Cao, sister Suong Nguyen, brother Dung Nguyen, and sister Hue Nguyen.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, January 28 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, 76012.
