Virginia Merle Flippo

Virginia M. Flippo passed away peacefully Sunday, July 12 after a long battle with Alzheimers. She was born in Stroud, Oklahoma January 18, 1922 to Willard and Meldia Sowards. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 17, 2015 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington. Virginia was preceeded in death by her parents, her brother “Bud” Sowards, her sisters, Colene Myers, Juanita Roberts and Cleota Lackey and by her son Merle Blosser.She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Mark K. Flippo, her daughter Nancy Schultz (Eddie), and her daughter-in-law Connie Blosser. She is also survived by her granddaughters Shea Blosser and Brooke Neal and her great-grandchildren Scout and Cutter Blosser, and Emerson, Griffin, Sawyer and Collins Neal.The family would like to thank her caregivers Kathy Barney and Brenda Valdez of Care Mountain for their loving care and her team from Covenant Hospice, Dr. David Capper, Melanie, Angela, Sara and Chaplin Dan, whose care, support and compassion was so appreciated by the family.Virginia will be remembered for her smile, her generous nature and the incredible strength of character and will. She will be missed by all who knew her.
