Virginia Ann Wirth, 60 of Grand Prairie TX, passed away on December 12, 2015. She was born in El Paso TX on August 19, 1955. Virginia graduated from Burges High School in El Paso, and then attended University of Texas at El Paso for a year, followed by a brief time in the marketplace working for the company that her father RIP Russell had co-founded. Later she elected to move to Arlington, TX to pursue a Fine Arts Degree from the University of Texas in Arlington, with a minor in English, where she graduated, successfully completing that degree in 1986. She then traveled with a company called Traveling Light before that group ended some years later. It was at that time she began to work temp jobs for a while where she functioned as an auditor at various companies throughout Dallas/Fort Worth with the knowledge that she had acquired growing up with her parents . She then went to work for Shady Grove Church in the worship and fine arts department where she remained for a few years until being introduced to a drama class as a part-time teacher at Shady Grove Christian Academy. She worked in both capacities before moving into a full time position as a Teacher where she remained until accepting the position of high school principal at the newly founded Stonegate Christian Academy. She later became Administrator of the upper school and later the Head School Master until her passing.
Remembering our Virginia...
Virginia was...Light.! She was not a harsh blinding light, but she was this warm, radiant glow that she never hid from anyone.
She was never ashamed to share her great love affair with her Savior with those God sent across her path. Many times she
shared with me her personal story of salvation....and oh, how her eyes danced, sparkled, and misted with abundant gratefulness,
thanks, and sincerity at the telling of her story to me. She drew me, and countless others, to her because of the light of her
testimony. The light of Jesus passed through all that she set her hands to do. She never entered a task without acknowledging
the One who had set the task before her...In all of her ways she allowed His light to shine through her. From the fabulous to the
seemingly mundane she made it clear that everything she did was to Him and through Him. What a great bearer of light, what a
magnificent beacon to bear testimony to the One that had made her and called her to live a life filled with the Glory of God!
And the light that she shared is never extinguished...there is no ending to its magnificent glow...for it now lives on in the lives
of the people she passionately led, mentored, taught, befriended, and loved.
Matthew 5:14-16
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a
bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before
others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
Virginia was...Laughter! Anyone that knew Virginia knew of her wonderful laugh! She filled rooms with Joy just from her
laughter alone! This was a laugh that came from a fully alive and contented heart. Many times when I was feeling despair in
my own life she would listen with an open heart as I poured out my troubles to her....and in the end...as if by some divine
gifting...we would end up smiling and laughing (often uncontrollably). God gave her the unique ability to truly be able to
rejoice in all circumstances, and in turn she gave others the ability to share in that same rejoicing when they were in her
presence. Healing was in her laughter, and it brought many to freedom, bound up the broken hearted, repaired breaches,
mended fences, soothed wounds, and released potential...to know her was to experience the heavenly gift of divine laughter.
Psalm 126:2-3
2 Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
3 The Lord has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.
Virginia was a...Gift Giver! I have countless mementos in my possession today of gifts Virginia has given me over the years.
They remind me that Her desire was always to give...whether it was in big or small ways her heart was always overflowing and
seeking out ways to deposit in others gifts and treasures. God put many gifts inside of Virginia and she gladly shared those gifts
with anyone that would crack the door even the slightest to receive them. Her gifts were her currency on this earth and she
invested them well and without hesitation...into each moment of friendship, teaching, correction, counseling, administrating,
serving, she lovingly put a piece of herself into every ounce of currency she deposited into others. There was never a
withholding in giving away her gifts...her deposits were generous and without regret. While she was tethered here...she never
buried her gifts in the ground or kept them for herself....she gave, and she gave...depositing all she had in others for their
benefit and for His Glory. How God must smile at her continually in pleasure knowing she invested all He gave her so wisely
and so well.
Matthew 19
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in
and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Virginia was...Love! Her capacity to love...how could it be measured?! To say that she Loved Big cannot even come near to
expressing how much love she poured out to others on a daily basis. I always have marveled at the amount of love this one
woman could give to so many people in so many diverse situations. And what would normally exhaust ordinary humans
seemed to only energize her to continue to love all the more! I witnessed on countless occasions her ability and willingness to
love without judgment or bias...even if she was correcting someone the main emphasis behind the correction was always love!
To comprehend her love you had to know its true source...Jesus. Many times in conversation she had shared with me that it was
only through her love relationship with Christ, and her understanding of how completely she had been forgiven that she was
able to love with such abandon! She couldn't fathom not giving her love away to her husband, to her family, to her friends, and
to her students because she understood her love was not a thing to be hoarded, but a gift to be given to others willingly and
sacrificially...just as it had been given to her! If you were loved by Virginia in this lifetime count yourself blessed...for you were
loved deeply and fully. If you were loved by Virginia in this lifetime...then honor her by following her example to love well
from the heart...without hesitation.
To love or have loved, that is enough. Ask nothing further. There is no other pearl to be found in the dark folds of life.”
― Victor Hugo, Les Miserable
This is our Virginia..Light, Laughter, Gift Giver, Love! Forever living in our hearts...and daily in our our memories of a life

on believing in him.
