Walter was born at home in Arlington, Texas, on December 7, 1930, the son of Roy E. Cash and Sybil Cooper Cash. When he was a young boy, Walter was the paperboy in Arlington, delivering the newspaper to every subscriber in town. He graduated from Arlington High School in 1948, and attended Rice University. He became a Professional Engineer specializing in mechanical engineering and owned his own engineering firm, Walter Cash and Partners until his retirement. In 1950, Walter married his high school sweetheart, Jolene Mason and they had four children. Throughout their long marriage, Walter was always able to make Jolene laugh with his wit and sense of humor. Walter loved to snow ski and made his last trip to the mountains when he was 80 years old.
The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the staff at Community Hospice of Texas and the Hospice ward at Arlington Memorial Hospital for their loving care.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Betty and Dorothy; and his daughter, Nancy.
