Written by Reverend Dae Yun Kim(Ordained Minister): Mr. Walter Clayton Millers was great gospel singer. I always listened his great gospel music. And he is in God'Bosom now. And many will miss him always!

Betty Mills, I just learned of Walt's passing yesterday. It has been over 50 years since we first met here in California. I will never forget the times we spent together, and the music we played. The fondness for the both of you has never left my memory. Please accept my heart felt sympathy for Walt's passing. Richard Dias

Walt Mills was/is my favorite gospel singer. No one was as good as Rev. Mills. Thank you for all the beautiful music Rev. Mills.

so enjoyed and looked forward to every time with paul and jan condolences marcia

I did not know that Walter had passed away. he was a very humble man very kind and I always saw him smiling. I have a picture with him from the 1990's I need to share when he was with R.W. Schambach at a tent revival in Dallas Texas. He had a wonderful voice; I wish I would have had a chance to share the picture with him again years later. He is walking on streets of Gold and in the presents of God.

My name is Edna Ward.
I met Walt Mills when I worked at TBN some years ago. Walt Mills was very kind and friendly to me and I really appreciated that very much.
I remember I was traveling from my mother's funeral and I was going through the airport and came face to face with Walt Mills. It was good to see a friendly face at a time like that.
I was sitting here at home today and I started singing What A Healing Jesus. I went online and googled brother Walt Mills and that's how I found out he has gone to be with the Lord. I kind of felt it before I googled it.
I went to You Tube and did a search for What A Healing Jesus and oh my! What an anointing filled my room! He is such an anointed and gifted man of God! I couldn't help but shed tears. He is with our Lord and Savior Jesus now. He has finished his race. He is where we all want to be and are looking forward to going.
The world has lost another soldier. Heaven has gained. I pray for his family because I realize they still are trying to adjust to him being gone. I pray for Holy Spirit's continued comfort and strength. God's blessings to the entire family!

Well it’s 2 1/2 years later but I just want to say May God continue to comfort and bless the Mills family. God gives the strength to keep on serving Him and living life until reunited with loved ones again. Grief never ends, it only brings you closer to God relying on Him to make it through each day. Blessings , peace and comfort to all those who knew and loved Brother Walt Mills.

This is not a condolence.
That was done when Brother Mills passed to glory.
This is an uplift to say that a Saint can be used long after they are with Jesus in Heaven.
Nobody preached a message on forgiveness as strong as Walt Mills and daily it is in my heart blessing me as the reason to keep on forgiving is present.
We love you in Christ Jesus.
Amen.

Walt was a friend that you can count on he would pray for you when you need it he would write to you he would lift your spirit with the song and the message from the word of God came down and the annoying that was on his life for over 50 years and I'm going to miss having him around Tommy Hoffman

Playing your Christmas album now, my brother.
Have loved your voice since another brother put me onto your music in 1988

We

Walter was an awesome singer. My husband and I always enjoyed listening to him. One of our favorite songs he sang was I'm On My Way To Heaven. My husband and I were married for 21 years, 1 month and 3 days. He told me and one of our close friends when he was on hospice that he was looking forward to seeing Jesus and he told us I am on my way to Heaven. My husband passed away on May 27, 2020. I know my husband and Walter are singing in Heaven. My husband loved singing and we sang duets together at church. My husband loved playing the organ and piano. I will keep The Mills Family in my thoughts and prayers. God bless you all.

My memory of Walt Mills ,our precious Walt was from TBN! I was 22 years of age, just coming in to the knowledge of Jesus! Walt stepped out on stage, opened his mouth and began to sing, I was smitten by his strong, sweet powerful voice! I fell in love with this man of God, my brother in Christ, his voice touched my soul, gave me warm chills! This was back in 1990,I have his cd's and listen to them daily. I'm gonna miss him terribly. God bless his family!

I only knew you by voice, through "I ain't got time for you devil" and I am sad to have only discovered more about you now, but know that I will continue to be blessed by your ministry.

Thank you for your beautiful music and your ministry! Today more then ever we need to be uplifted & healed ! I have been listening to “ you’re my healing Jesus “!

I loved this great man of God.
As a gospel DJ for over 40 years I have played his great music and will continue to play his great gospel songs for years to come .
Rest in His sweet peace till, we meet again in glory .

Rest In Peace, Walt Mills. Thanks a million for the great music and testimony you offered to us all these years. My favorite will always be “The Devil’s in the Phone Booth!” What a great song! You were always pure class. Wish that more were like you.

It was a god moment that introduced me to mr mills on
Sbn network as I was led to renew my commitment to the lord
His inspirational singing " I've got a feeling" I sensed anointing and the presence of something special , only twice I have she'd a tear in the last few years mr mills loss and that of billy graham in 2018 my heart was touched
Nick

My heart aches, and tears fill my eyes, but I know Bro. Walt is shouting for joy in the arms of Jesus.
Sadly I just heard about this, I couldn't believe it. My heart goes out to the Mills family. May God the Holy Spirit give all the family peace, I know Bro. Walt now has true eternal peace, and we will see him again. I never met him, but he touched my life. He will be missed.

RIP Mr. Mills ✝️
I really enjoyed your southern style Gospel preaching and your southern style Gospel singing ! You Preached straight out of the Word of God and you were spot on in your Holy Bible instruction and message on your tv show. I came across you in the 1990s on the TBN channel and would watch you on tv before I went to work. I let people know of you and your great singing/preaching. The Holy Bible is the one and only true word of God ! The Father/ABBA sent his amazing Son, Jesus Christ on a mission, to save the lost sheep, Christ accomplished ALL of his Fathers will/mission and he is Savior of the
world ! Plus with the Holy Spirit, who is to be worshipped and glorified and the HS is the power, plus the Holy Spirit comes from the Father and the Son to indwell the believer ! You taught that and I/you/we all know the word of God is True. My condolences to the Mills family for your loss.

I would listen to him on sbn. Im saddened that he's gone. My heartand prayers goes out to his family and all those that know and loved him.

After following his TV ministry for years, just happened to be seated by him on a plane from Louisville, KY to Dallas after the National Quartet Convention. Had a very nice visit with him, and, before the fight was over, he asked me if I knew Jesus as my savior. I was very impressed. The answer, of course, is Yes. What a life well lived......a true servant of God.

I have been a gospel DJ for 40 years..
One of Walt's songs deeply touched me when I acquired asthma over 30 years ago and wondered why God did not heal me, since I knew He had called me to radio. Walt's song, "Trust Him He loves you." Helped bring me through.

I just played an old tune this last Sunday night on Clean Country by Walt on WWIB radio. Now a listener wants info on it but I can't find it anymore. The title is "Jesus in your soul". Can you help me find a copy? THANKS!

Your golden voice in The Christian Music Industry will never be forgotten!
Cooper e. Taylor III

Walt Mills is another one of my favorite Christian Music Artists. He had another one of those silver/golden voices just like the fabulous musical artists like the singers on The Lawrence Welk and Sing Along With Mitch Miller Televison Shows. Walt was just as talented like two of my favorite musical artists who made their mark in Music History by performing all the good stuff, Nana Mouskouri and George Beverly Shea, I used to send Walt a Christmas Card and and Easter Card every year since 2003. Mr Walt is singing up in his new Home in Glory. You will be missed Mr Mills

A true MAN of GOD !!! I thought of him and checked the internet and saw he went home with GOD. It stopped my thoughts and thanked GOD for Walts blessing to so many people. I heard and saw him on TV often.

My thoughts and prayers for the family. Thank you Walt 🙏🏼

I always enjoyed him when Iwould see him on Jimmy Swaggart.

Just heard him singing April 9, 2020, my heart goes out to his family.

His songs helped me believe God for a miracle when I was in a very dark place. We will meet someday in Heaven and I can thank him.❤

MY THOUGHTS ON WALT
By L.A.Caldwell

He lived his life reaching out
To all who were oppressed,
Giving what he had to give
To see them truly blessed,

Faithful and steady and always ready
With a song, a word and a smile,
Spreading faith, hope and love
Across the many miles,

A writer in the best tradition,
His songs played across the nation,
Border to border and coast to coast,
Anointed by the Holy Ghost,

He stayed the course and fought the fight,
His life became a shining light,
Embracing family, faith and friends,
He loved them till the very end,

Embedded in the sands of time
Golden memories left behind,
They’ll serve to brighten up our days,
Forever in our hearts to stay!

GOD BLESS WALT MILLS

Walt and Betty sharing their pain and testimony about the loss of their son years ago..is STILL giving me strength now as I have a heroin addicted son..know that the Word you shared years ago is still living inside my heart today...you will be deeply missed...and Heavens choir just got a little sweeter...love and prayers to Betty

My Aunt spoke of Walt at JCHibbards Gospel Lighthouse

Mr. mills was an absolutely awesome singer and evangelist. As a police officer, Walt has ridden with me many times while on patrol. He had a velvet voice that made you want to worship God and the Holy Spirit.

I pray for the entire Walt Mills family, and ask in the authority of Jesus name to give you all comfort during your hour of loss. May the hand of God reach down and hold you all close.

Take comfort as I know you do, that we will all see each other again just on the other side of the eastern gate, by the evergreen trees...standing on the shores of paradise.

God Bless you all.

Just informed of Walt Mills' death. His music will always be a blessing to me. My favorites are: "You're All Invited to My Mansion" and "I've Got a Feeling."

What a blessing this man of song and spirit was on TBN.......

I met Walt and Betty when I lived in Houston Texas in the latter 70's. He was at Al Jandels Church in Alvin TX. His music has been such a blessing to me for all of these years. I shared it with my father when I moved back to Rhode Island. I am still playing it. Hard to imagine that he has crossed the Jordan. Betty, please know that you and your family remain in my prayers. Bishop +Paul Boardman. Summerfield Florida.

We watched him on the Bill Gaither dvds and really enjoyed his singing and his commanding voice. He always ministered with authority. God bless you all. Keeping you in our prayers.

What can I say, but You are such a blessing...I am sure that heaven's opened it's arms for you! Your music always ministered. I saw you a few times at Evangel Temple in the 70's in Nashville. My husband at the time ran the sound for you and spoke highly of the kindness you showed. You will be missed!

Blessings and comfort to your wife Ms. Betty.

I never met him personally but I listened to his songs Ain't Got Time For You Devil and The Devil's In The Phone Booth when I was little, now I'm 34 and I love his music more since I found out who sung those two songs I mentioned. I started playing more of his music since I accepted Jesus into my life and now I just heard he passed away and it saddens me cause I'm just getting into his music. But like that song you sung Tears Will Never Stain The Streets Of That City no wreaths of death on my mansion door. Tear drops aren't welcome beyond the gates of GLORY cause the heart will never break anymore. I just started loving that song, it made me cry 😢. But I'll continue playing and singing your songs in church. Your in God's hands now and thank you for leaving behind such beautiful music. Keep singing to our Lord Jesus Christ. Fly with the angels

I remember the day I first heard Walt sing, but the one time I heard his preaching I will never forget. It was authentic.
It was honest.
He preached the cross.
He is singing to our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is loved.

I met Walt and Betty in 1967, when The Young Brothers were in Revival
for Pastor Grant in Dallas. What an amazing gift he was to the body of Christ.
I will never forget his wisdom and the fun we had, on my last visit with them as we looked back over all the years, sitting at dinner with Judy Nelon and the Galt House in Louisville,KY.
Thank you for giving to the Lord, multitudes of lives were eternally changed by your faithful ministry.

Sister Betty,
Pam and I send our sincere prayers and condolences to you and your precious family.
We will forever cherish our memories of being the guest speakers at TBN and Brother Walt was the guest singer. Brother Walt blessed SOOO MANY LIVES AND GREAT IS HIS REWARD! May he RIP and may God hold you in His arms of love and tender care until you are reunited with Walt in heaven!

Walt was a beloved and special friend to all the Wills Family through the years. Calvin Wills and Lou Wills Hildreth made sure that he was inducted into the Texas Gospel Music Hall of Fame, tgmhf.org He was a talented musician and minister of Gospel Music for many decades - he will be missed.

Loved Walt's singing, play his music going driving, I'd say sing it Walt, that was my grandpa name, gonna Miss him, asking God's blessings to all the family

I always loved it when Bro. Mills led the telethons in Clearwater, Fl. for the local Christian tv Channel 22. managed by Bob D’ Andrea. He brought annointed singing and preaching to the area. Also enjoyed him ministering on JSM over the last few years. He will be missed. Condolences to the family.

Walt & Betty Mills are great friends of ours and we love them both more than words can say. My husband and I have pastored several churches and we always enjoyed when Walt and Betty came to minister in song and share with us a Holy Ghost filled message. It saddens our hearts to hear that Walt is no longer with us. We know he is now in heaven with the One he has sung about all these years...and though we are sorry to hear he is gone, we are a little envious. We celebrate his homegoing although bittersweet. Our prayers go out to his wife, Betty Mills, their son, Paul Mills, and the rest of the family. Walt will surely be missed...but, never forgotten. Rest in peace my sweet brother, we will see you soon!

Tonight as I listened to Jimmy Swaggart, I was saddened to hear about the passing of Walt. I so enjoyed hearing him preach and sing when he visited Family Worship Center. He certainly touch many lives. Our prayers are with you.

Brother Walt Mills would preach at Family Worship Center in Baton Rouge, La. as a guest minister several times a year. We always enjoyed his spirit filled preaching and wonderful singing. We considered him a member of our church family. Sending our love and prayers to Sister Betty and family.

I only knew Walt Mills in connections with Jimmy Swaggart . Iloved to hear him speak and his music the Lord used to administer to my heart. I would love to purchase any CDs you might have of Walts music. God be with you and comfort you Betty, as well as your children, grand children and great grand children. Many blessings are wished for all.

Dear Mrs. Mills & Fam.
We have never met but I have seen your husband sing and praise unto the Lord on JSM. He always ministered to our hearts and could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit when he sang. He has now finished his race, kept the faith and now is in the presence of the Lord. May the good Lord give you and your family the peace and comfort He can only give today and everyday of your lives. 💜 God bless.
Rest In Peace Bro. Mills

When He sung "on my way to heaven", he blessed me and everyone else all over the world.

We will miss you brother, thanks for your service, sermons and songs. May God be with your family.

Loved Walt Mills singing, "On my way to heaven" sure it blessed many lives. Saw him on Jimmy Swaggart ministries, happy hes with Jesus now. No pain or suffering.

I just found out about this. It's sad. I love his song "The devils in the phone booth dialing 911" I played that song over and over in November 2000 during the "Chads" counting of the 2000 Presidential election. I also played it over and over after Donald Trump miraculously defeated Hillary Clinton. Rest in peace Walt Mills. See you one day in heaven

Brother Walt blessed us with his singing. Very anointed. He gained the ultimate victory now. We will see him again!

Brother Mills was such a blessing, my dad’s favorite gospel singer until his death in 2016. Now they are singing together! I am happy to say I will sing with both of them one day. Prayers of strength for the whole family

Our memories go back to Walt & Betty holding their first revival at age 18, Jacob's Well Assembly of God in Ft Worth, Tx, Odell Jones Pastor. Walt was a classmate of my sister Dr. Mary Jones Jackson at Southside Elementary School in Arlington, 8th grade. They were always a blessing to all who knew them. Walt's music will live on .

Walt was always a pleasure to listen to whether singing or preaching. What a wonderful example he set for all of us to follow. Thank you to his family for sharing him with all of us thru his ministry.

Love to Betty and Family. So many good memories, most make me smile. We had so much fun together. We also were able to share our heartaches and know they would be kept for prayer. We could finish each others sentences. Will miss that deep laugh, as well as singing. How good to know we will meet in our heavenly home.
Oh Blessed Hope! For Betty, Psalm 23

I dearly love Walt and Betty Mills have known them for many many years. I was privileged to know his precious Mother At Gospel Lighthouse Church in Dallas in the 80’s. That is where we first met Walt Mills. I have always loved Walt’s anointed beautiful music and have bought many of his tapes and accompaniment tapes through the years. His music has always ministered to me and my family. We have attended revivals where he was ministering and precious Betty always of course by his side. They are a wonderful couple always smiling and living the example Jesus wants us to. I thank God for their lives and the beautiful ministry God through them has given the world. I will miss seeing them at Family Worship Center with Brother Swaggart. Brother Walt Mills will be greatly missed but we will all see him again in Heaven soon. May God richly bless Betty, Paul and his family and all relatives and friends of Walt Mills. Remember his song “Peace” that he sang so beautifully. Thank You, Walt Mills, For blessing me, my husband, my children and my family with all your beautiful music and ministry God gave you. May God comfort and give peace to Betty Paul and all their family and all of us in Jesus name Amen ❤️❤️🙏🙏🌹🌹

My dear friend of 50+ years..."home at last"...you are in "the hall of faith" for building a 'bridge' with a sure foundation by your anointed ministry and display of pure love.

Walt Mills was one of the dearest friends I ever had! He was a precious man of God who stood for Jesus, those who were hurting ,and those broken by life! We talked and laughed together on the phone frequently and my wife Lori and I got together with him and sweet Betty once a year with Pastor Del Way and Ms Cindy in Keerville Texas! Walt was the best friend a song ever had! My favorite singer of all time. When he sang It Is Well With My Soul, the angels of heaven laid down their harps and listened.
My wife Lori and I are going to miss our dear friend. But we sorrow not as those who have no hope. This is not goodbye! This is just we’ll see you later! I loved you dear friend! Trio from years ago. We will sing together again!

Knew Walt many years before he became a traveling evangelist and singer thru his time with Rev. JC Hibbard at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Dallas, Texas. He will be greatly missed as much as he was greatly loved. Wish to have seen him and Bro Hibbard seeing each other again after all these years!! Truly, What A Day That Will Be!!

Pat and I first met Walt and Betty in the 1960s, and developed a relationship based on our mutual love for God, and gospel music. We had the privilege of working with Walt in some of his revival crusades, Television appearances and recording sessions. He loved the steel Guitar and I was only too happy to play back up on three of his early LP albums back when vinyl was popular, but even more than that we learned to appreciate his honesty, his love for God and people. He was one who definitely honed his craft and loved what he did. A great singer, musician, and preacher of the gospel. He will be forever remembered in our thoughts and library of memories. May The Holy Spirit minister Gods love and healing to Betty and the Mills Family!! SHALOM!’

As Walt mills singed I'm on my way to heaven and the journey getting sweeter everyday. I first heard him on the on the praise the Lord program. He will be missed. I remember him and Jimmy swaggart singing this song I'm on my way to heaven and the journey getting sweeter everyday. The one who he singed about and preach about he saw Jesus Christ Face to face

I was acquainted with Rev. Walt Mills through Jimmy Swaggart's Family Worship Center and SBN. I enjoyed him so very much and was always blessed by his words and music. Until we meet.

Walt Mills One of the greatest gospel singers during my lifetime. I usually have a phrase I typically use, "One day closer to home". Yes, that is one of his songs. Great, great daily living theology in the music. Thankful for his contribution to the people, but really happy for him being with the Lord Jesus

I only knew Brother Mills by watching him preach and sing on SBN. I could feel he was a man that loved the Lord and it was up lifting to listen to him. My prayers are with Sister Mills and family as I am sure he will be missed. Take comfort he is where we all look forward to being when our Lord comes or calls us home, in the arms of Jesus.

Brother Mills was a great blessing to me personally. I enjoyed receiving his posts on FB and I looked forward to his visits on SBN. He will be greatly missed 😪

Walt Mills was an evangelist at the Kentucky A/G youth camp in the 1970's. His music and preaching made a huge impact on my life. Prayers for the family...

Walt was a best friend of my brothers Farris and Norris. Prior to his getting saved and being called to ministry, they sang together in a country western group in both Ft worth and Dallas. I was only 6 years old when they began this group and they were all stars to me. We were all proud of his decision in 1954 to give his heart to Christ and move on to Christian ministry but missed him terribly. I’ll always be grateful that he came to visit my dying brother in the hospital and then came to sing at his funeral. He only shared one song and a few words but they meant the world to us. He will be missed and leave such a huge hole in the lives around him. He was a godly, giant of a man. Sing on through eternity, Walt!

I have good memories of Walt Mills. Back in 1976 I flew to Denver and rode with him in a car from the airport up to Estes Park, Colorado, where we attended a gospel Music Convention.

His music has been very uplifting in my life.

Later when I was hospitalized, I listened to his songs over and over. They brought me close to Jesus and I still listen them!

He will be greatly missed.

Lollie Chaffee-McCall

I will forever remember when Walt preached a sermon on forgiveness at FWC in Baton Rouge, LA. It was profound and one sermon I shall never forget. Love his song “I’m on my way to Heaven” and loved when he sang it with Jimmy Swaggart. He will be truly missed but his sermons and music will live on for those of us that are left to grieve his passing. RIP brother Walt, we will see you in the great by and by. My prayers to his family.

I can only imagine the joyous homecoming in Heaven. My mom and dad, his mom Pauline, and so many others must have greeted Walt with open arms. He was a trusted friend to so many. Prayers for Betty and family, knowing that we all will soon join to see our Savior.
- Mark and Kay Wolfe

Not long ago (1/10/18) I was waiting to see my doctor (outside waiting for them to open) and looked up and Walt Mills was walking up for his appt also....he was most gracious, as we were leaving he called me over to his car, gave me several of his CD's and we shared the Word with each other and had prayer....Good night Bro Walt, we will see you in the morning!
