Wanda Sharon Saunders Hancock was welcomed to her heavenly home. A native of North Carolina, she was the eldest of 3 children to Sherman and Grace Saunders. Her life's desire was to be a nurse. She worked critical care for 40 years. She also earned her administrators license overseeing several nursing homes in Georgia. Wanda married Philip Hancock in 1962 until his death in 2013. They traveled often due to his work with General Motors. They had 2 children and were parents to many foster children. Wanda was a devout Christian and taught Bible studies throughout her life. In 2017 she moved to Texas and enjoyed her friends and teaching Bible study. Wanda is survived by her daughter, Deana (Rick) Adams. She is preceded in death by her son, Jay Hancock of Greensboro, NC; her husband, Philip Hancock of High Point NC, her brother Colin Saunders, her sister, Revauda Lurey and her parents Sherman and Grace Saunders all from Greensboro, NC.
