

Wanda Nichols was born in Boley, Oklahoma on March 5, 1947 to Minister Calvin B. Nichols and Ruth Nichols. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at a very early age. She attended the Boley School System, elementary through high school. After graduating, she continued her education at East Central State University in Ada, Oklahoma and graduated. Wanda had a successful professional career including being a Pulitzer Prize finalist while she worked for the Louisville Courier Journal Newspaper.
Preceding her in death was her father, Calvin B. Nichols, Sr., brother, Calvin B. Nichols, Jr. and sister Patricia Nichols Jarrett.
She leaves to witness her departure of this life into an everlasting life of joy and peace; her husband Israel Cunningham of Grand Prairie, Texas, her mother Ruth Nichols of Arlington, Texas, her five sisters, Janice Nichols Mann (Arthur) of Punta Gorda Florida, Sheryl Nichols Jackson (Edwin) of Columbia, Kentucky, Pamela Nichols Valentine (Ronald) of Lewisville, Texas, Phyllis Nichols Sammons (Paul) of Cornelius, North Carolina, and Karen Nichols of Arlington, Texas, Two brothers, Dwight Nichols of Columbus, Ohio and Michael Nichols of Edmond, Oklahoma, stepsons, Israel W. Cunningham, Phillip Cunningham (Susan) and Kenneth Cunningham (Hope) and a host of relatives and friends.
