Bill was born to the late Roger W. "Bill" Adams and Audrey O. Hollen Adams in Keyser, W.Va., on June 26, 1929. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Ila B. Adams. The two were married Oct. 3, 1952, in Riverside, Calif. Bill graduated from Keyser High School in West Virginia followed by three years of college at Morris Harvey College in Charleston, W.Va., before entering the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the Air Force with 20 years of service and went on to work for the Arlington and Tyler ISDs for many years. Mr. Adams was a member of Eden Road Community Church. He shared a love of dirt-track racing with many generations including his sons and grandsons. He enjoyed visiting his daughter in East Texas where he made many friends while participating in the activities at the Tyler Senior Center. Bill was very talented at many handicrafts including a love of crochet and needlework.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret "Peggy" Long.
Survivors: His children, Audrey Hinton (Bill) of Arlington, Vicki Iliffe-Weston of Fort Worth, Richard Adams (Judy) of Arlington, David Adams (Tamara) of Arlington, Ila Jo Erny (Tom) of Troup; an uncle, Kenneth Hollen of Keyser, W.Va.; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
