

Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, his family suggests donations to the Wounded Warriors Foundation.
Bill Cummins was born May 17, 1940, in Columbus, Ohio, to Maxine Mantell Cummins and Raymond Cummins.
Bill will be remembered for his great sense of humor and gift for storytelling, his work ethic and his willingness to help co-workers, neighbors and friends in need.
After graduating from Upper Arlington High, he attended Ohio State and then moved to Dallas with his family and graduated from SMU Business School. His 40-year career was spent in retail department store management in Dallas, Atlanta, St. Petersburg and ending in Dallas/Fort Worth where he was senior vice president of Dillard's Department Stores.
He retired in 2002, and with his wife of 29 years, Gail. They enjoyed their wonderful life of travel, gardening and projects on their 70-year-old house in Fort Worth.
Bill was the proud father of Camille, William and Richard, and a grandfather to wonderful grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; mother; stepmother; and his son, Dr. William Clark Cummins.
Survivors: Wife, Gail Gibbons Cummins; daughter, Camille of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; son, Richard of Fort Worth; brother, Bob Cummins and wife, Linda, of Columbus, Ohio; sister, Connie and husband, Logan Hines, of Murphy; sister, Lavinna Paarman of Sarasota, Fla.; and many loving grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
