

William Winfield, known to his family and friends as Billy Ray, was born on November 22, 1948, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Raymond Winfield and Margaret Pinkerton. He was raised in Arlington, Texas, and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1967.
Billy Ray had a lifelong love of rodeo and worked rodeo events every year. He admired the animals, respected the cowboys, and in his younger years was a bull rider himself. He was a devoted supporter of the Texas Rangers and was employed in Guest Services at the Ballpark, where he enjoyed meeting and helping fans.
Billy Ray is survived by his sister, Anna Jo Bowman of San Antonio, Texas; his brother, Tom Winfield and wife Diane of Arlington, Texas; along with a niece and several nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Winfield and Margaret Pinkerton; his sister, Shotsie Winfield; and his nephew, Greg Bowman.
Billy Ray will be remembered for his love of rodeo, his dedication to the Texas Rangers, and the friendships he built throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
