

Wilma Mae Hethcox of Arlington Texas passed away on August 16, 2025, at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Her strength, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she held dear will be remembered always by all who had the privilege to know her. Born in Denton, TX on December 16, 1943.
She grew up in Denton, and graduated from Denton High School in 1962. She worked at Texas Instruments in Lewisville, and later at an Arlington Day Care. She met the love of her life, John Hethcox on a blind date, and 5 months later they were married. They would have celebrated 61 years of marriage on October 10t of this year. Wilma lived a life defined by kindness, faith, and quiet perseverance. She was a woman who found joy in the simple things-time with family, sharing stories, and making sure everyone around her felt seen, loved, and cared for. Her home was a haven of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
Wilma dedicated her life to raising her family, nurturing them not only with love but with wisdom, patience, and a spirit of selflessness that set an example for generations. Her legacy lives through her children, grandchildren, and the many lives she touched throughout her life. She loved playing games, cooking, and trying new recipes. She loved gospel and country music, and enjoyed the beauty of butterflies.
She is survived by her husband John D. Hethcox, Kimberly Phillips, Candice Norman and husband Kip Norman. Grandkids Ethan Phillips, Seth Phillips, Kameron Norman, Conner Norman and Kendall Norman. She was preceded in death by her parents James & Laura Solomon, and brothers Leo Solomon, Eugene Solomon, and Daniel Solomon.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, from 1:00-4:00 at Moore Funeral Home located @ 1219N. Davis Dr. Arlington, TX 76012.

Wilma Mae Hethcox was a guiding light in the lives of so many. Though her physical presence is gone, her love will live on in every shared memory, every act of kindness inspired by her example, and in the hearts of those who loved her deeply.
