Wilson Maurice McMillion, 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 28th. He is survived by his daughters and their husbands: Debbie and Mike McElroy, Gina and Greg Kudrna, Teri Pittman and Tamie and Garry Castles. He has 9 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sweetheart of 20 years Sherry Pankey and her daughter and son-in-law Amber & Allen Dyke and their 3 children.
He began his life in Midlothian, Texas in a loving family who worked hard as sharecroppers where he learned hard work and determination. He was saved at age 6 at a tent revival and at the age of 15 graduated from Midlothian High School and moved to Fort Worth. At 18, he fell in love and married his first love, Pat Sowers. At that time, he made a fuller commitment to follow the Lord in all aspects of his life. The two of them raised four girls to love the Lord and who also loved their daddy deeply.
He began a career in the Automotive Aftermarket at the age of 19 and opened his own business, W M Automotive, when he was 45. He became known as a strong business leader in the industry and won the prestigious AWDA Pursuit of Excellence Award in 2014.
Wilson was also an avid sports enthusiast. He coached little league football for Fort Worth’s Blue Raider Athletic Association as well as softball for Wedgwood Baptist Church where he won many state titles. He played senior softball from 1989 to 2008 and won the Senior Softball World Series and many awards including batting champion. He also loved TCU and enjoyed supporting many TCU sports as well as the TCU Fellowship of Christian Athletes through the years.
In 2016, Wilson suffered a stroke. He showed true courage and determination as he endured this last final challenge of his life inspiring both family and all those with whom he came in contact.
Wilson touched so many people through his life, but he focused on how people touched him. He was a man of honor, courage, and dignity and loved deeply. He believed in the golden rule and wanted others to love each other and treat each other with love. He will be greatly missed by many. Wilson was preceded in death by his loving wife of 46 years Pat McMillion, his son Richard Maurice McMillion, his mother and father Grace and Claude McMillion, sister Oneta Perry, brothers Jack and Marvin McMillion and his son-in-law Randy Pittman.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 1st 5 pm - 8pm at Moore Funeral Home 1219 N Davis Rd, Arlington, TX. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, August 2nd at 10 AM at Wedgwood Baptist Church, 5522 Whitman Rd, Fort Worth.
