Aaron C. Stoddard

10/9/1978 – 1/05/2023

Lewiston - It is with deep sorrow, that Aaron’s family announces his passing on January 5, 2023, of an apparent drug overdose. He was a loving and kind man who loved his children and his family with all his heart. With his bright red hair and shining smile, he was hard-pressed to hide in a crowd. His red hair, according to Sister Barbara Brennan, “was his gift and his curse.”

He was a talented artisan and had so many stories to tell! His signature carving is the sign he made for the Portland Boxing Club that still hangs there today. He was the oldest of 6 brothers and grew up in Portland on Munjoy Hill. The insidious drug world took him away from us.

He leaves his loving mother, Michelina Stoddard Gerry; step dad Martin Gerry; his 6 brothers Austin N. Stoddard, Damien Sieg, Adam E. Stoddard, Abraham C. Matt, Andrew R. Matt and Alexander Metcalf; his 7 children Zane, Kali, Lillian, Gage, Ryan, Zeus and Izzibella; 2 grandchildren Liam and Urorah; grandmother Dorothy Tibbetts and Billie Sieg; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A graveside service will take place Tuesday Jan. 17th at 11 AM at Calvary Cemetery in Portland.
