She was born on September 6, 1944, with twin sister- Alta, to deceased parents, Armand, and Florida (Champagne) Charest. She attended local schools in Lewiston. On September 4, 1967, she married the love and best friend of her life Paul A Ouellette, and together they have three grown sons and their spouses: Albert O (Elaine Martel) of Auburn, Bernard N (Lisa Lachapelle) of Auburn, and Lucien R (Amy Parent) of Farmville, Virginia. Eight grandchildren: Timothy Labonte, Mallory Charest, and Curtis, Armand, Haylee, Laura, Jaden, and Devin Ouellette and four great grand-children, Rylee and Roarke Labonte, Athena Ouellette, and Tate Charest. She was Co-Guardian of her loving nephew, Marc Voisine.
She retired from the Auburn School Transportation Department in 2007 after 25+ years, where she was a bus driver and later an aide. She also worked as a house cleaner and for several entities in shoe manufacturing.
She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, at Sacred Heart Church, in Auburn, ME, since 1971 where she served in several ministries, enjoying the church choir the most. She belonged to several community organizations as follows: Supporting spouse of a Knights of Columbus member, IHM Golden Age, and Lewiston Seniors. She was a great supporter of the family, enjoyed playing cards and board games, and watching Bruins and Red Sox games.
Alma also leaves behind two siblings Claire Dechene, Alta Bouchard (Normand) and two additional brothers-in-law, Leo Ouellette and Harvard Brassbridge, and a sister-in-law, Jeanne Charest, many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Alma was predeceased by her parents and her parents-in-laws, and her siblings Normand and Conrad Charest, Muriel Rivard, Carmel Brassbridge, and nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation for Alma on Sunday, September 27 from 3 PM to 7 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Turner Street Auburn, Maine 04210. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Monday, September 28 at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 8 Sacred Heart Place, Auburn, Maine 04210. Committal Prayers will follow at 1 PM at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 163 Mount Vernon Road, Augusta, Maine 04330.
