Anita L. Surette

Anita L. Surette 69, of Auburn died Saturday March 30, at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, with her loving family at her side, after a seven year battle with breast cancer. She was born May 31, 1943 in Bath Maine a Daughter of the late Beatrice Avery and William Flewelling. She was a graduate of Gardiner High School and Bernard's Beauty School. Anita was previously employed at Hammond Tractor in auburn, Original Pizza in auburn, and was a hairdresser for Jean Paul's beauty shop. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Lewiston. Anita had many crafting talents and enjoyed dancing and karaoke. Anita cherished her special times with her children and her grandchildren. She always met a new friend, and she had a special place in her heart for everyone. Anita was a very spiritual person and had a special message for each of her children before she passed. Heaven has received a precious angel whom will be watching over us. She is survived by a Brother John Flewelling and wife Marcia of Indiana, step mother Marie Flewelling of Calais, children: Michael Linton of Auburn, Michelle White and husband Dale of Lewiston, Rayna Estes of Florida, and Kristie Jalbert and husband David of Greene, Grandchildren: Nathan White of Lewiston, Aaron Estes of Florida, Dylan Jalbert of Greene, Shianne Estes of Florida, Taylor Jalbert of Greene, and Ashlyn Jalbert of Greene, her companion Roger Naous and his two boys Sammy and Danny, godmother Christine Sirois, ex-husband and friend Edgar Surette Jr. and his two children David and Nancy, Nieces, Aunts, Uncles, cousins and many special friends. Visitation Fortin Auburn Wednesday 4/3/2013 from 6-8 PM with words of remembrance at 7 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday 4/4/2013 at 11 AM at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 155 Hogan Rd. Lewiston. Committal service will be held in the spring at Oak Hill Cemetery.
