Barbara was born in Lewiston on February 27, 1934, to the late Ernest and June ( Clark) Briggs Jr. Barbara graduated from Edward Little high school and then from Auburn Maine Business School of Commerce.
Barbara married Gerald Hinkley on June 29, 1957, and together raised two children, Brett Hinkley and Corey Hinkley. She worked for many years at the Bates Mill store as assistant manager, which she truly enjoyed. She also worked in various offices before retiring.
She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat, and all family functions. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who cherished her family.
She is survived by her son, Brett and wife Monique, Corey and wife, Danielle, four grandchildren, Justin Hinkley, Jessica Turner (Lauren), Alyssa Saint Cyr (Justin) and Ashley Morneault (Joey) and seven great grandchildren.
Per Barbaras request, a private graveside service was held.
