
She was born November 29, 1953 in Lewiston the daughter of James and Rosamond (Lowell) Mann
Bernie was a manager at Northland Apples in North Turner and a baker at Food City in Tuner
She loved to sew, bake, and create clay figures. She made many intricate crafts, where she would sew animals into forest scenes, build clay animals and pose them on various rocks she found, and sew sock monkeys and Raggedy Ann and Andy sets, among many other things. She also liked to go for drives to find the remains of old houses, do gravestone rubbings, and to find new rocks to add to her craft pieces. She loved Yahtzee, and was a fierce player.
Bernie made friends everywhere she went. She was mischievous, and enjoyed playing jokes on others.
She always followed up one of her tricks with a sly smile and a wink.
She was a member of the Buckfield Historical Society
Bernie is survived by Sisters Karen Poulin and Mary Richardson of Turner, ME; Sister Rose Desrochers and husband Mark Desrochers of Livermore, ME; Sister Charlene Schieber and husband Max Schieber of FL, Step-Daughter, Amanda Whitmore of NH, and many, many nieces and nephews who loved her very much; also a Best Friend, Patti Day
She was predeceased by a sister, Helen Kurts; mother, Rosamond Dodge; father, James Mann; stepfather, Charles Dodge, nephews Timothy Dodge and Eric Richardson, a niece Cherie Libby,
