Bonnie Kay Knight

Bonnie’s husband of 70 years, Richard “Dick” Knight, predeceased her in December 2020. They met at the Windsor State Fair during high school and were married in November 1950. After short stops in Waco, TX, Mapleton, ME, and Camden ME, they moved to West Auburn in 1966 and lived there until 2020.

As a young lady, Bonnie entertained community groups in the Capitol area as a ballet dancer. After she and Dick were married, she devoted her daily life to her children.

Bonnie is survived by her beloved 7 sons: Richard (Elaine) of Maine; Terry (Maria) of North Carolina; Steve (Mary) of Texas; Ken (Becky) of Indiana; Bill (Ruby) of Maine; Bob (Rosemary) of Maine; and Dan (Tina) of Kansas; and a bushel of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

We want to thank the staff at Schooner Memory Care and Beacon Hospice for their outstanding care in Bonnie’s last days, months and years.

Funeral Services honoring Bonnie's life will be celebrated on Monday, July 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group in Auburn. Committal Services will then follow at North Auburn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM prior to the services at The Fortin & Pinette Group 217 Turner Street in Auburn, 783-8545.
