AUBURN- Carmel was born on September 26, 1938 in Lewiston, the daughter of David and Alma (Lessard) Albert and she was the eldest of four siblings. She married Raymond Bilodeau, and they spent 63 wonderful years together traveling, singing, walking ocean beaches, traveling to Cape Cod, playing cards and their favorite - spending time with their family.
Carmel was a devout Catholic with a strong faith and a deep love for her family. She was best known for many things, but most importantly, for being a kind and giving person. She freely gave of her talents: from singing in the choir and decorating the inside of the church, to running the craft booth at the Christmas holiday fair. Her arrangements were always coveted of those who came to the fair each year. Her Christmas Toffee and French Meat Pies held a little bit of magic.
She loved her children unconditionally and cared for her granddaughters with a heart like no other. They will forever hold her close for all the time, memories and love she gave so freely to them.
Carmel’s last career was working for many priests in the local parishes. Her festive feast at the annual Christmas parties were always greatly looked forward to. But we can't forget her love of Christmas decorations - which she has passed on to many of her family members. We will carry on Mom.
She is survived by her three children Marc Bilodeau (Rhoda), Roger Bilodeau (Suzanne) and Susan Noddin (Bruce); Grandchildren Angela, Brianna, Daniel, Benjamin, and Paris; Great Grandchildren Sophia, Aila, Amelia, Stetson, James and Juliette. She is also survived by her sister Mariette Berry (Steven) and nephew Steven Berry Jr. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Bilodeau, her parents, David and Alma Albert, and siblings Ross Albert and Jean Albert.
We want to extend a special thank you to the staff of Clover Health Care, who provided such loving care to our mom over the last year. Additionally, a warm thank you to the Andwell Hospice team for their support through the last several months of our mom's journey.
