Auburn- Cecile D Brodeur, 86, of Lewiston, Maine departed her loving family on May 1, 2021 at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, Maine after a battle with cancer. She was a devout Catholic and attended the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lewiston, Maine until the Covid Epidemic. It gave her much comfort to follow her faith by watching Mass on television. She loved watching Father Daniel and often commented on how much he made her smile. Cecile was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 4, 1934. A daughter of the late Joseph and Emelda (Labonte) Lebrun. She was the eighth of eleven children growing up in “Little Canada”. She graduated from St. Mary’s School June 10, 1949 and on January 28, 1983 earned her State Equivalency Diploma from Lewiston Adult Education with a certificate of merit for commendable achievement. Finishing her High School Education was very important to her and she was extremely proud of her accomplishment.

Cecile married the love of her life Fernand AJ Brodeur on February 4, 1961. Their life was not a rich one regarding money, but rich in love for family and the Catholic Faith. During her life with Fern, she was a homemaker working various part-time jobs. Late in life she volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital and joined the “Red Hatters” and attended the YMCA and various exercise classes. She enjoyed traveling and dining with Marie, her sister in law and late brother Jim. Cecile was a loving mother always putting the needs of her children before her own. She will be sadly missed by her daughter Debra Picher and husband Michael of Vassalboro, Maine. Daughter Nancy Tyner and husband Thomas of Lexington, South Carolina. Son Robert Brodeur of Auburn, Maine.
