She was born in Lewiston, ME on November 22, 1952. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1971, and from the University of Southern Maine with a degree in education.
As an avid reader from an early age, it is no surprise that she had a successful career as a bookstore manager. Her bookstores were more than a series of shelves loaded with books, they were inviting places where the books whispered your name and dared you to leave without previewing a few pages. She embodied a whimsical, creative spirit that was reflected in her many artistic endeavors, often shared with family and friends. The special and unique smile that warmed the hearts of so many in her lifetime, continued to be noted by all her caregivers in her final days.
She was predeceased by her mother, Helen Wotherspoon; her sister, Linda Wotherspoon Bryant; and her daughter, Anne Perrino. She is survived by her father, John Wotherspoon, her former husband, John Perrino, her two boys, Aiden and Tim Perrino, and many devoted friends.
There will be no services per her request. For those who wish to celebrate her memory, the family requests that you find a cozy nook and enjoy a great read!
